I drive a '96 Ford Fiesta now (bought a first gen Saab 9000 recently, just waiting on delivery), so I don't really NEED the space. The thing is, I like road trips with friends and I can't do that in a small car :)

Well it's about time it was updated. The T5 has been in production since 2003.

Not that this matters to me much... they're probably not going to bring the Transporter to North America. And if they do, it will be overpriced.

yeah those were not the best. Head gasket issues and rust all over the place. Right in line with the start of Mk3 junk VW was bringing in here and selling like hotcakes

It was way too under-powered for that big-ass van. Of course, the engine wasn't the only problem. For example, the horn wouldn't work if the engine wasn't running.

ha yeah junk electrical. It is a VW though, no surprise. They learned the hard way. The VR6 almost made the thing quick
